Brannon Barrett came to Matthew Tully Hairdressing with years of experience and tons of talent. Inspired by his love of music and all things creative, Brannon chose to pursue this field and has excelled ever since. Growing up with his mother and sister is a huge source of his drive. His sister gave him a sense of determination that has gotten him where he is today and contributes to his quest to serve others.
He began his career on the fast track as one of three stylists to create the look for the biggest Versace show in Dallas history the day he graduated cosmetology school. From there, he as done Dolce and Gabbana as well as other fashion shows. Contributing to this success, Brannon has trained with Vincent and Jaime Masse of Artec and is a Board Certified Haircolorist as well as certified in Liscio Japanese straightening.
Being a stylist challenges both sides of Brannon Barrett. Color entertains the scientific side and cuts challenge his creativity- to create something outside of his comfort zone. Asked if he has a genre, you will hear a resounding 'no'. According to Brannon, genres keep you stagnant. He does push himself into more edgy styles but continues to keep well versed on all trends.
Brannon's love for this industry is evident in his ability to create personal relationships with his clients. He believes that perfect practice and technique make a good technical hairdresser, but a humble, technical and creative hairdresser makes a great one. "To be great, you have to be willing to learn from others and put others first." This mantra makes him the perfect fit in this cohesive team of stylists. His goal is to inspire not only stylists, but everyone, to be the best they can be.
